How to use Takora Connect

Practical steps for setting up your workspace, connecting WhatsApp, managing customers, launching campaigns, and automating messages from custom events.

Account and workspace setup

Get from signup to your first usable workspace.

Steps

1Open Sign up and create your user account.
2After signup, complete onboarding.
3Enter the organization name your company should use.
4Enter the workspace name your team will see in the app.
5Select what the workspace will handle, then finish setup.

Important

Each workspace is isolated from other workspaces.
Your first user becomes the workspace owner/admin.

Sign in and session

Access an existing Takora workspace securely.

Steps

1Open Sign in.
2Enter the same email and password used during signup.
3Takora opens your latest workspace after validating your Supabase session.
4Use Logout from the top-right app header when you are done.

Important

If the browser session expires, refresh the page or sign in again.

Connect WhatsApp

Enable replies, campaigns, and automation sends.

Steps

1Open Dashboard or Settings.
2Click WhatsApp setup.
3Use Connect Facebook if Meta Embedded Signup is configured.
4If needed, enter WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, display phone number, and permanent access token manually.
5Save the connection and confirm the status changes from Not connected.

Important

Replies stay disabled until WhatsApp is connected.
Campaigns and event automations require approved WhatsApp templates.

Inbox

Handle customer WhatsApp conversations.

Steps

1Open Inbox from the left sidebar.
2Select a conversation from the list.
3Read inbound and outbound message history.
4Type a reply in the composer.
5Send is available only after WhatsApp is connected.

Important

Incoming WhatsApp webhook messages appear here after webhook setup is complete.

Contacts

Manage people your team messages.

Steps

1Open Contacts.
2Click New contact to add a customer manually.
3Enter name and phone number.
4Open View to inspect the contact profile.
5Use Message to jump into the related conversation.

Important

Contacts can also be created automatically from WhatsApp messages or integration webhooks.
Use export when you need a CSV copy of the contact list.

Campaigns

Create manual outbound WhatsApp template campaigns.

Steps

1Open Campaigns.
2Click New campaign.
3Choose the campaign goal and audience.
4Enter the approved WhatsApp template name and language.
5Review the template preview on the right.
6Create the campaign and track it from the campaign list.

Important

Use campaigns for planned broadcasts like offers, announcements, reminders, and reactivation.
Do not use free-form text for outbound WhatsApp marketing; use approved templates.

Automations

Automatically send WhatsApp templates when something happens.

Steps

1Open Automations.
2Click New automation.
3Choose a system trigger or enter an integration event key.
4Enter the internal message preview.
5Enter the WhatsApp template name, language, and template parameters.
6Save the automation and keep it enabled.

Important

System triggers include inbound message and contact events.
Integration triggers use exact event keys such as custom.lead.created.
The event key in the automation must match the eventType sent by your webhook.

Custom events and integrations

Trigger automations from your website, CRM, booking system, or backend.

Steps

1Open Integration.
2Click Generate secret.
3Copy the webhook URL.
4Copy the header secret.
5From your external system, send a POST request to the webhook URL.
6Include x-takora-webhook-secret in the request headers.
7Set eventType to any stable event key, for example custom.lead.created.
8Create an automation using the same event key.

Important

You do not need to pre-create event keys.
The first valid webhook creates the event record.
Event keys are workspace-scoped.

Analytics

See basic workspace performance signals.

Steps

1Open Analytics.
2Review inbound message counts.
3Review active automations.
4Review campaign and contact activity.
5Use the numbers to confirm the workspace is receiving and sending data.

Important

Analytics becomes more useful after WhatsApp, contacts, campaigns, and integrations are active.

Settings

Maintain workspace and WhatsApp configuration.

Steps

1Open Settings from the top-right gear icon.
2Review workspace details.
3Update or reconnect WhatsApp credentials.
4Return to Dashboard to confirm the WhatsApp status.

Important

Only admins should manage WhatsApp credentials and connection settings.

Website lead form

Appointment booked

Send a confirmation template with the appointment date and support contact.

Send a payment confirmation or next-step message.

Send a follow-up template asking whether the issue was resolved.

Troubleshooting

Replies or sends are disabled

Connect WhatsApp from Dashboard or Settings and confirm the connection status is active.

Custom event automation is not running

Confirm the webhook eventType exactly matches the automation event key and the webhook secret header is correct.

Webhook delivery is rejected

Generate a fresh integration secret and update x-takora-webhook-secret in the external system.

Template send fails

Confirm the WhatsApp template exists in Meta, is approved, and the template language and parameters match.

Session expired

Refresh the page. If the issue continues, log out and sign in again.
